Obama may be trying to help many people out of this recession but the Safelink program was not one of his initiatives. In fact it started over a year ago during Bush’s administration. I think it’s a very clever way to help the poor because according to the Sullivan Report, a cell phone can help them find jobs or improve their income which means that I (the taxpayer) won’t have to support them any more.

Keep in mind that premium is based on risk. Eliminating or reducing a risk (new auto) should not effect other risk markets (older cars). However, IF the risk of the older cars is MORE than the savings from driving the older cars then there is a POSSIBILITY that your rate could increase.
Statistics could show that it is more dangerous to drive today versus 10 years ago but that doesnt mean the rate will increase more than what the customer saved by driving an older car.

Also, some insurance companies give discounts or rate newer cars at a lesser price because of all the safety equiptment and new level of standards. What makes insurance more expensive on the new vehicles is their value and coverage selection. Someone can buy a brand new car and have liability and still pay less than someone who bought a used car and has full coverage.

WHERE DO YOU get off saying that he is trying to save homes from being forclosed on ??? 6 million homes have already forclosed on ,including mine.Not because of G.w. BUSH. BUT BECAUSE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY SITTING ON THEIR ASSES SINCE THEY TOOK OVER CONGRESS IN 2006.They did nothing and did every thing to make republicans look bad, so that idiots like you would think the republicns caused our downfalls.My own stupid sister still believes that that republicans were in power in 2006, and she is a devoted democrat.

I have excellent credit, have been on time with my payments and because I owe more than my house is worth the bank won’t refi. It doesn’t make sense to me! I thought that’s what Obama’s program was suppose to help with??
